Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 185

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close in two weeks, next Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC185 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

I have a little change in the challenge and I will be discontinuing the guest stamper part of the challenge.  I hope you won't be too upset with me, but I'm finding my free time is slipping away from me more and more as the kids are getting involved in activities - I have no free nights anymore.  It's crazy.  I hope you'll be patient with me and know that I may bring the guest stamper spot back eventually, but for now, I have to let this go.

AND....  I don't have a card for you just yet either.  My stamping time has been interrupted more times than I can count this week and so I've come up a bit short.  Please forgive me.  I'm really lame, I know.  Maybe some future blog candy will make up for it???  hehe!

I will have something for you soon, but in the mean time, please hop around and visit the amazing Sweet Sunday Stamper team - they always floor me with their creativity!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Jessica's Surprise Birthday Blog Hop

Hello there!  Today is a very fun day and I am part of a very special birthday blog hop for Jessica Knutsen - she's the fabulous gal that started up There She Goes Clear Stamps.  I am honored to have been part of her talented design team and now I'm excited to be part of this birthday hop!

For my card today, I used BombDiggity stamps and the layout from Deconstructed Sketch 101.

I stamped the bomb in Black Licorice ink and the hand cut it out to pop up over the little explosion.  I cut out 3 fishtail flags and stamped the sentiment on some 21/Seven paper from Simple Stories.

On the inside of the card, I used a sentiment from A Little Treat and then added my zigzag stitching around the edges.

Happy, happy, happy birthday, Sweet Jessica!  I hope you are blessed beyond measure this year and are filled with joy.  I'm so happy to have met you through this crazy little hobby!!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Hello!  It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another fun sketch challenge from MFT!  Here's a look at the sketch:

I made a card using Pure Innocence Feeling Sassy.

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card Stock and then colored her with Copic markers.  I stamped her again on some Collectable Memorable 6x6 papers so I could paper piece her skirt, shirt, and bow.  I added some shading with my W3 and 0 Copics.  I cut a piece of Sweet Tooth Card Stock and used a Polka Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder and then layered a Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics over the top and added a sentiment and Pink Lemonade Button.

On the inside of my card, I stamped another sentiment from the set and then added more fun zigzag stitching along the edges.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Hello!  It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another fun sketch challenge from MFT!  Here's a look at the sketch:

I made a card using Complimentary Greetings.

The school year is coming to an end and I have been working on making cards for the kids' teachers, as well as the support staff - especially the wonderful teachers who stand outside in the freezing cold, helping the kids cross the street each morning and afternoon.

I started with a Sno Cone Card Stock base for this card and then used Pink Lemonade Card Stock for the center.  I used a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics in Smooth White Card Stock for the little flag on the bottom and added an Open Scallop Doily Die-namics over it in Gumdrop Green Card Stock.  On the Tag, You're It Die-namics, I stamped a Distressed Backgrounds Blocks stamp in white pigment ink.  It is a little tough to see in the photo.  And then I finished with a Pink Lemonade Button.

I stamped another greeting from the set in Black Licorice Ink on a Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics

MFT May Release Rewind | Day 2

Hello there!  Did you enjoy the MFT May release?  All of the new products are available in the MFT Boutique right now and the design team is having a little May release rewind party again tonight.

I have a couple of cards for you today - my first card uses LJD Peaceful Wildflowers.

I have a Sno Cone Card Stock card base and then I used Electric Red Card Stock to matte the Kraft Card Stock for the image.  I stamped the flowers in Electric Red Ink and Factory Green Ink and then stamped the little sprigs in white pigment ink.

I wrapped some Hemp Cord around the card base and tied it together with an Electric Red Button.

The inside is fairly simple - I used the same pattern for the flower and then stamped a sentiment next to the flower along the bottom edge of the card.

My next card uses this month's Triple Scoop Set, which you can get for free with a qualifying purchase.  I stamped the sentiment in Berrylicious Ink on Smooth White Card Stock and then added some Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics along side it.  And of course, I needed another big Electric Red Button tied with some perle thread.

I used another flower from LJD Peaceful Wildflowers in Berrylicious Ink inside my card as well.
